Why would a medicine woman bother with skin care? Skin & Hair is literally ON YOUR NERVES. It's the very first thing the world sees! It's how you face the world. Your self-esteem, anxiety, and depression often have many roots correlated directly with the quality of your skin. Sometimes, you are led to believe that only poisons can cure the problem, and that leads to more problems with the hormones, which eventually leads to more problems with skin, weight, anxiety, etc. Many people are poor and dumping so much into prescription-strength skin care (rosacea - see Miracle Lotion, swollen feet see garlic oil, pain see Green Lotion, etc.). Some people just don't have the spoons to think about skin care (this line was initially developed for you, but was quickly usurped by product princesses who recognized it's genius). You are still our Focus. StarLight can see your skin melting in the hot sun. She can see your lips peeling off, your skin sores pitting and itching in your arms (deodorant byStarLight will work). She cringes when you put the baby powder on their butt, and cries when she knows the breastfeeding nipples are infected. This line was developed for street outreach, for impoverished Need, for people who have no time for Maybe-it-works and for people who have no space/money for 10 products when one will do. This line was developed for people who cannot shower first.

Business Practices
Practice is the word. Being a Medicine Woman means that life is an artistic Balance of work, mothering, learning, expanding, playing, teaching, and mostly being the creative genius. Finding time for Professionalism is mostly reserved for the creative genius mode.
Forgive the harsh Truth that getting back to emails, making it to the post office, and returning texts has not made it to Priority frequently in the past few years. Within 3 years, Professional could be the norm. byStarLight is a huge fan of the slow growth movements, and it has been quintessential to to gratitude, intelligence, and compassion for this company to witness & Honor its wisdom, flow, and beauty. For now, our Perfectionism will remain at product creations.

The goal is that Tuesdays are post office delivery days. It may be days before texts or emails are returned. Our products are worth whatever the wait; most of them will change your life. However, if it is an emergency (Poison Ivy, a travel deadline or bleeding skin; please text frequently to get a response. It is possible that things can be done faster. We are just enjoying the full life in the timing that works best to keep the balance in other areas of life.

No one here works only one job. We all wear many hats. This line is precious, not much profit is made, certainly not enough to live on. Most of the time it seems like there is only one of us, but nobody lives in a bubble.
We have made it available so that everyone can access this medicine, because without it people suffer; and the point of this line is to end that suffering. The miracle of this line is that we look & smell like supermodels while finding a greater degree of hormonal balance and pleasure while using this line of products byStarLight.

Packaging, email, mail, websites, phones: those are all extras we figure out for you, but are very difficult creatures to mix into the harmony that is Medicine Woman. It is our goal to be professional by 2027, for now we are happy with this goal.
Please be kind even though that may be quite annoying.
Or goal is to simply create and offer the products so you may have relief; we aren't fond of the 24/7 competitive rat race and aren't keen to drop our values to rush into it.

There is no full time staff and thousands of people we help. Especially let us know if there is a particular issue you want more information on. Sometimes the skin can be confusing. Most of my clients are extremely confused why the dermatologist can't figure it out or recommends invasive, toxic, expensive stuff. Usually, we can remedy the situation easily and do with products byStarLight, a bit of health coaching, or something in your cupboard. Don't blame the doctors and dermatologists; they don't know any better or they would tell you better. But they do often pretentiously pretend to know...and we know that is beyond annoying

* VEGAN LOTIONS. We are more excited about these than you can imagine. The classics have the richest beewax from lovable permaculture farmers. It protects the skin and adds medicinal qualities beyond our initial hopes. However, many vegans prefer options without beewax and whats coming this winter should be fantastic.
*For discount prices and freebies: We will have a misc & riff-raff section soon. This will include clearance items, products too old to sell on a shelf, trials that were ALMOST outstanding but didn't make the mark, and some acquired gear that should just move to another home like essential oils from new suppliers that just don't feel perfect enough for the products but may be wonderful for someone else's use. These ingredients are so precious. Each drop of essential oil may be an entire plan of flowers. We'd like to never waste a drop.
