Lets talk about the TINT "colors"
I set out to add color by playing with alkanet and beet. No matter what I did, I could not create a paint like a lipstick or even a tint like you see in some formulas (I know now that that lip Tint it's stuff that is very very bad for your lips). 
I was disappointed, as frequently happens when I'm pushing for something instead of Listening for Truth.  When I got over mySelf and Noticed what is actually happening here I was Overjoyed to Realize it's exactly what I truly Wanted. I don't wear makeup. I do not like to look like I am wearing make-up. Why was I trying to make something that I didn't truly want to wear???
When I stopped Trying and Noticed, I was so excited to find that the "tint" I was trying to make did not Paint the lips, instead, it is fairly transparent trace acts like a mood ring.  So, it depends a little on your chemistry. The beet makes the lips slightly darker, but a natural state your lips naturally find when they are healthy. And the Alkanet makes the lips slightly brighter and also in that natural state your lips naturally find when they are healthy. 
How Wonderful!! It was better than I dreamed I could create! Although the lips look like there is no make up on (and there is not), they are Gorgeous and we can bring a bit of color naturally. Although it looks just like lip balm when you slide it on your other skins, and it seems like a simple lip balm on the lips to the uneducated onlooker, It gives such an elegance and rarity to the lips that I can always tell when someone is wearing Lip Balm byStarLight; it's quite a unique elegance. I cannot tell which one they are wearing because each chemistry and lip set is unique. However, you will discover that you know your lips well enough that there is quite a difference between each of these three balms in the subtle effect they have on your lip tint.
